Glenreagh Post Office

GLENREAGH POST OFFICE

The post office operates Monday to Friday between 9am - 12:30pm then 1:30pm - 5pm.  It's there for all your postal needs (stamps, pay bills, banking, sending letters and parcels, greeting cards, some stationery, and a few other nicknacks).  As there's no mail delivery to your house within the village, residents either collect their mail from within the Post Office or rent a mailbox.  The Post Office is a good place to meet other locals or just have a chinwag while collecting your mail.

The museum is open on the first Saturday of the each month, except January, to coincide with the monthly community Markets. The School of Arts Hall in Glenreagh has been in continuous operation since 1915.  Though it has gone thru a number of renovations and upgrades throughout the years, it still holds its heritage look and feel.  The hall is used for regular events (Monthly Markets, Glenreagh Creative Group, Hapkido and Self Defense lessons, Town meetings, etc).  If you would like to book the hall at anytime, please contact Jennie Seed on 0407 818 735.

TALLOWOOD MOUNTAIN RAIL TRAIL

Imagine travelling back in time in a beautifully-restored nineteenth century carriage pulled by the last working steam train of its class in Australia!  Tallowood Ventures is working hard to recreate this unique historic experience for a short distance at Glenreagh Heritage Railway.

Our Open Day is the first Saturday of the month, the same morning as Glenreagh Market day. Come and visit us to see the 148 year old Locomotive 1919 steam train, tour the historic passenger and sleeper carriages, and admire other rail memorabilia in the Locomotive shed. Our volunteers will often be working at this time, so feel free to have a chat, or sign up to volunteer!

Everybody welcome!
